New Kind of Optical Illusion

I don't know if I believe it's truly any kind of right brain left brain test. But it sure is cute.

But if you haven't seen the cluster before, take a look at the other art while you're there as well.

Peak Oil

Well, it looks like the peak is here. In fact, this report, which based its conclusions on actual energy production rather than reserves, says oil production peaked in 2006. Persepolis

I've been a fan of Persepolis, Volumes 1 and 2, two graphic autobiographies (normally they say graphic novels, but if you don't know, that means comics) written by a woman who came of age during the Iranian Revolution and now lives and works in France. They've now been turned into an animated film, co-directed by the books' author, and this review from Salon suggests the movie exceeds the writer's expectations. I'll be looking for it.
