Peak Oil

Well, it looks like the peak is here. In fact, this report, which based its conclusions on actual energy production rather than reserves, says oil production peaked in 2006. It's expected to decline 7% per year, and right now there's 42 years left at current rates of usage. "Hang on to your heinie, we're in for a ride."
