Folkways Collection

I just discovered this free podcast series about Folkways Records, which includes 24 one-hour programs. Folkways Records was founded in 1948 in New York City by Moses Asch, who sought to "record and document the entire world of sound." Between 1948 and Asch's death in 1986, Folkways released 2,168 albums. The collection is now owned by the Smithsonian Institution, who produced this podcast series.

I downloaded the entire series through an RSS feed in iTunes. You can also get it at the link above. I've listened to the first one and a half programs so far. Very interesting stuff.
